Steering Committee
Actions:
- Monitoring of the project implementation,
- Monitoring and guidance for pilot projects,
- Assurance for the compatibility and collaboration
with the regional support programs, national initiatives
and E.C. funded projects.
For the accurate implementation of
the above and the assurance of the project regional
range, the following are defined as members of the program
Steering Committee:

Committee. In case of any impediment, he is replaced

The Regional Fund for the Development
of Epirus is appointed as the paying body of the program

Management and Implementation Body
The Business Innovation Center of Epirus (BIC OF EPIRUS)
is appointed as the Management and Implementation Body,
based on:
- The approved proposal
- The EU direction: CCI 2002 GR 16 0 PP 004/5.6.2003
- Appendice II (Funding Contract)
- Appendice III (general terms implemented in funding
contracts)
- Greek Ministry of National Economy Direction in
8/10/2020
The project of BIC of Epirus will correspond
to the Action Plan that is stated through the Financial
contract in 1/6/2020 among the European Commission and
BIC of Epirus under the supervision of the Regional
Fund for the Development of Epirus and based on five
strategic areas:
- Regional Economies based on Knowledge and Technological
Innovation
- New investment opportunities for new business
creation on the service sector
- Innovative & flexible training
- Effective promotion of Private Financing
- Regional prediction practices
- Innovative Policy Interface Committee
- Innovation Week
- E-Europe: Information Society in service of
regional development
- E-Commerce & Information Management
- Regional Identification and sustainable development

- International Collaboration
- Technical Assistance
- Evaluation
The opening date as well as the termination
date for the expenses selection in the frame of the
current regional innovation actions program are determined
in the financial contract, appendice II, and these are:

The approved financial amount for the
program execution is € 1.380.000,00 (one million, three
hundred and eighty thousand euros) form which the community
participation is € 1.046.000,00.- (one million, forty
six thousand euros) percentage of 75,80%, the national
participation is covered by the Ministry of National
Economy up to € 284.000,00.- (two hundred and eighty
four thousand euros) while the left € 50.000,00 (fifty
thousand euros) consist the private contribution.
BIC of Epirus will have a special bank
account No 90517-42/2 Egnatia Bank, where Community
participation credits will be transferred.
BIC of Epirus will manage and implement
this project in close cooperation with the Regional
Fund for Development of Epirus (Paying Body) based on
Appendice II (Financial contract) and Appendice III
(General conditions implemented in funding contracts
of European Communities) DECISION of EUROPEAN COMMISSION
CCI 2002 GR 16 0 PP 004/ 5.6.2003, as well as in the
actions table and further budgeting of the Proposal.
BIC of Epirus will sign contracts of
task entrusting to others based on its internal procedures
and demands or specifications of the approved proposal,
asking by the contractor relevant letters of guaranty
of equal amount for the total program duration, which
will be equal to the financing flow from both communal
and national financial resources.
Management Unit
Actions:
Shaping of the strategy and suggestions to the Steering
Committee
- Analysis, monitoring, evaluation of studies, pilot
actions, awareness raising initiatives, networking
organizations involved
- Monitoring and development of the project in order
to secure that initial goals are in time and budget
- Physical and financial subject observation according
to EU directions
- Interim and final reports
- Monitoring of the working groups
- Input from other regions and countries
- Participation in the networking events
- Interregional collaboration with other Greek regions

body carrying approval certificate for financial monitoring
conducts. In this case GRANT THORNTON is appointed (S.A.

Kasioumis in Ioannina)
Project Actions Evaluation
The evaluation of the program implementation
actions (evaluation & progress monitoring) will
take place by external professionals.
