The Greek Network was founded in July, 1998. It consists a Union whose members are people who deal with innovation and innovative projects in Greece. (RIS - RITTS projects etc.). Its trade name is ‘GREEK NETWORK OF REGIONAL STRATEGIES’. It is situated in Athens, it counts 22 founding members andithas a provisional administrative committee of seven members.

ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION
‘GREEK NETWORK OF REGIONAL INNOVATION STRATEGIES’

CHAPTER 1

TRADE NAME - HEAD - OBJECTIVES

Article 1

On July 9, 1998, the Union ‘GREEK NETWORK OF REGIONAL INNOVATION STRATEGIES’ of non - profiteering character - is founded in Kastoria

 

Article 2

The central offices of the Union are in Athens.

 

Article 3

Its objectives are the following:

  1. study of innovative activities in Greece
  2. co - ordination of the European innovation projects
  3. promotion and boost of the innovation concept at a national level with all legitimate means.
  4. co - operation with corresponding organizations in other countries of the E.V. and the General Administrations in charge (13th and 16th Directorates General).
  5. co - operation with universities, research centers and organizations of the productive classes, mainly those that represent small and medium sized enterprises.
  6. co - operation with the Ministries of Finance, Development and Labour, as well as with Civil Services, the General Secretariats of Regional Administration, with Municipalities and Communities.
  7. working out of innovative project on an individual basis or in co - operation with other sectors mentioned before.
